Summer safety for your pet:

1. Pets need water. Make sure they have plenty at all times.

1. Xylitol - Candy or gum sweetened with xylitol is toxic and should be kept away from your pets. One piece of gum could kill your pet.

2. Candles - Pets are naturally curious, and may be attracted to the bright lights of the flame in dark areas. Dogs and cats could either burn themselves by the flame or knock the candle over, starting a fire.

3. As few a 7 RAISINS or GRAPES could be toxic to your dog and even fatal.
ONIONS, COCOA, and MACADAMIA NUTS can be fatal.

4. All forms of chocolate can be harmful to your pet, potentially resulting in poisoning or even pancreatic inflammation from the high fat content.

5. Never let a nursing mama dog eat cat food. The toxins from the cat food go into mamas milk and then the puppys drink this toxic milk. These toxins can and have caused puppies to die. Of course NEVER feed cat food to a puppy.

6. Some plants are poisonous to dogs. Check and see what plants to keep your pets away from. Azaleas, etc.

7. Antifreeze is deadly to pets.
